Remote visual support
A technician taps a link. You see their camera.
They are on site with no account and nothing installed, so this works with subcontractors and crews you do not employ. While you guide the work, the photos, checked steps and sign-off collect themselves into one report.

The call becomes the record, not a story about the job told afterwards.
The problem
The technician has no login for your video tool
The technician standing at the equipment does not work for you. They have no login for your video tool. They are not going to create one while holding a hand tool. If they do get in, the call turns into a slideshow the moment they walk into a basement.
So the work gets described over a phone call, and you find out what actually happened when the customer calls back.
Proofwalk sends a six-character code by text. They tap it, allow the camera, and you are looking at the equipment.
How it works
Three steps, and the technician does one
Create the session
It gets a six-character code and a join link. Text it from Proofwalk, show the QR code, or send it yourself. Attach the checklist the job needs.
They tap and allow the camera
No download, no sign-up, no password. Their phone becomes the camera. They hold it, you do the looking.
You guide, and it writes itself down
Click the video and a dot appears on their screen. Talk to them through the browser. Every photo, checked step and message lands in one report.
Evidence
The job documents itself while you do it
Where it helps
Any job where somebody has to prove what they installed
The tool does not care what the equipment is. Checklists are data, so each team writes the steps their own work needs.
Telecom and network
Line swaps, circuit cutovers and gateway installs where the demarc is in a locked room and the tech is subcontracted.
Access control and security
Entry panels, readers, cameras and intercoms, usually installed by whoever the property manager could get on site.
Elevators and lifts
Machine rooms and hoistways where the phone line has to be proven working before the inspection.
Fire and life safety
Panels and dialers where a failed test is a compliance problem, not just a callback.
HVAC and building services
Rooftop units, controllers and plant rooms where the specialist cannot be at every site.
Utilities and metering
Meter changes and field upgrades done at volume by crews who rotate constantly.
Questions
Common questions
Does the technician have to install anything?
It runs in the browser already on their phone. There is nothing to download and nothing to sign up for. A link is the whole credential, and it stops working the moment the job is closed.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Live video, two-way audio, full-resolution capture, remote zoom and the whole checklist and report flow all work on iPhone and Android alike. Remote flashlight control is an Android capability, since Safari does not expose the camera torch to any website.
What if their camera will not start?
The session carries on in photo and chat mode. They keep sending photos and talking to you, and the report is still written.
What if the site network blocks everything?
Site networks that allow no direct connection are routine, so media routes through a TURN relay with time-limited credentials and the session connects anyway. The report records whether the call was relayed, along with the phone, the browser, what the camera could do, and bandwidth over time.
What happens to recordings?
They are archived automatically after 14 days, so nothing sits in the live service longer than it needs to. Archived material is not served to anyone and can be restored by an administrator. Photos and the report stay with the session.
Who can see a session?
Only signed-in seats belonging to the company that created it. Sessions are separated by tenant, and a closed session cannot be rejoined by anyone holding the old link.
Can we use our own checklists?
Yes. Team admins write them, and they can be attached to a session before it starts or partway through one that is already running.
