Looking at TechSee? Here is the honest comparison.

TechSee is a serious product and the reference point for this whole category. If you need AI visual diagnosis, augmented reality that sticks to real objects, or a session that writes itself into Salesforce, buy TechSee. Nothing below is going to change that.

Proofwalk is for the teams who looked at that and wanted the session, the evidence and the report without the implementation project. The price is on this page.

Side by side

Where each one is actually stronger

Half of this table goes against us. That is the useful half, because the fastest way to waste a fortnight is to trial the wrong tool.

Compiled August 2026 from published vendor material and our own category research. TechSee does not publish pricing, so no figure is quoted for them here rather than repeating a number from a software directory. Before you go further

Three reasons to stop reading and call TechSee

The session has to land in your CRM

If a call that does not attach itself to the ticket will not get adopted by your team, that is a real requirement and we do not meet it. We have no integrations.

You need AI to do the diagnosing

Sophie is a genuine product, not a feature checkbox. Our model assumes the expert is the person on your side of the call, and we built for that instead.

You are rolling out to a contact centre floor

We run on a single server with no failover, sized for a team running installs rather than hundreds of concurrent agents. If an outage during business hours is unacceptable to you, that is a deployment difference and not a setting we can change for you.

Who uses it

The same session serves support and install evidence

The session does not care who is holding the phone. What changes is which part of it you end up caring about.

Guiding your own field technicians

A remote specialist opens a session, texts the link, and watches the install happen. The checklist will not let a step close without a photo, the technician signs off, and the report at the end is the proof the job was done to spec.

Here the report is the product. It settles disputes and it kills the return visit.

Supporting the people who use your product

The same session, pointed at a customer instead. They open a link, you see the device, you point at the port that is in the wrong socket, and the model plate reads itself into the record instead of being spelled out over the phone.

Here the record matters more than the sign-off, and the number to beat is the cost of sending somebody out.

The comparison that matters

The number to beat is a second visit, not a cheaper licence

Work out what a return trip costs you: the labour, the vehicle, and the slot it takes out of tomorrow. Most teams put it between $150 and $500.

At the middle of that range a five seat account pays for itself at roughly three avoided trips a month across the whole team. That arithmetic is the same whichever vendor you pick, which is why the licence price is the smaller half of this decision.

What the price does decide is how long you have to wait to find out.

Try it on a real job for thirty days

Two seats, twenty-five sessions, every feature, no card. Run one job you were going to do anyway and compare it against whatever else is on your shortlist.

Questions

Common questions

Is Proofwalk a drop-in replacement for TechSee?

No. It covers the session: live video from the far side, guidance, photo evidence and the report at the end. It does not carry AI visual diagnosis, scene-anchored AR, or integrations into a CRM or field service platform. If your business case rests on any of those, TechSee is the better tool and this page is not trying to talk you out of it.

Why publish a price when nobody else in the category does?

Because most of the people comparing these tools are trying to find out whether this is a four figure or a five figure decision, and every vendor makes them book a call to learn it. Publishing the number is worth more to us than the negotiating room it costs.

Does the person on site need to install an app?

No, they open a link in their phone browser. This is worth saying plainly: browser based joining is standard, and most serious tools in this category including TechSee do it too. It is a reason to rule out anything that still asks for a download, not a reason to pick us over them.

Can it be used for supporting customers, not just technicians?

Yes. The session does not care who is holding the phone. A support team guiding a customer through a device gets the same live video, the same annotation, the same model plate capture and the same record at the end. The evidence features matter less on a support call, and the session record still matters.

What happens to our evidence if we leave?

It is yours. Reports stay readable through your notice period, and you get a copy of every session, photo and report before the account closes.
