Proofwalk

Notice for technicians

Version 2026-08-05 · LateShift LLC · support@proofwalk.io

Somebody sent you a link and your phone is about to become a camera for a remote specialist. You have no account with us and you did not sign up for anything, so this page explains what is happening in plain terms. It is the full version of the notice on the join screen.

What happens in a session

What you are agreeing to

When you press "I agree, continue" on the join screen, you are confirming that you have read this and that you agree to be seen, and to be recorded if the specialist starts a recording. We record the time you agreed and which version of this notice you were shown. That record appears on the job report.

You do not have to agree. There is an "I do not agree" button, and pressing it shares nothing and does not turn on your camera. If you would rather not be on camera, close the page and speak to whoever sent you the link.

Point the camera at the work

The specialist only needs to see the equipment. Please avoid pointing the camera at people who have not agreed to be filmed, at documents, screens or anything showing personal or financial details, or into private areas of a home or building that the job does not involve.

Who holds all this

The company whose specialist sent you the link decides what is collected and how long it is kept. They are responsible for it. Proofwalk, operated by LateShift LLC, runs the service on their behalf and stores the material for them.

Only people at that company can see the session. Anyone they choose to send a report link to can see the report, which includes photos and the checklist but not the chat or any recording.

How long it is kept

When your access ends

The link works for this one job only. Once the specialist closes the session the link stops working and you cannot rejoin. Closing the tab ends the camera on your side immediately.

Asking what was collected, or asking for deletion

Start with the company that sent you the link, because the material is theirs and they decide. If you cannot reach them, or you do not know who they are, write to support@proofwalk.io. We will identify them, pass your request on, and help them answer it.
